The mission statement of the RMGSDC is as follows:

•          "To encourage and promote the breeding of quality German Shepherd Dogs, to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection and to educate the fancy."

 •          "To encourage acceptance of the standard of the breed as approved by the The American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which the German Shepherd Dogs shall be judged."

 •          "To do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at all German Shepherd Dog Club of America (GSDCA) and American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned events."

 •          "To conduct shows and trials under the rules of the AKC."
